The $100.00 a day challenge
I think it is time to describe my goals and to set a target I want to reach. For the last 9 months I have been working on the future foundation of my small business. That step should be completed within the next 2 months and then it is time to use the foundation to build the house = business and to make it successful. Over the last 3 years we have been successful - but on a very small scale. It was a huge learning process and if you have read this blog from the beginning you know where I am coming from and what turns this business has taken. So far I managed to make a small profit after tax and expenses in the $x,xxx.00 range.
Now it is time think big and to make the move from part-time business to full-time. I am still employed as a computer system administrator with a nice salary and I do want to make the jump in a way that I am falling down too much with my income due to having a family I need to take care of.
My current daily income from my websites fluctuates around $5.00 - $15.00. I am not counting web hosting into this income as I do not want to be a full-time web host. Web hosting will stay a small part of my business though. Steady recurring income is nice to have and it pays for my own web server.
So, that said I do want to challenge myself. My goal is to have a daily income from my websites and related projects of $100.00+ by the end of this year (2005). That’s about 6 months of time to reach this goal. I will use this small business blog to keep track of my own progress that I am making (or not making). In the coming blog postings I will lay out my strategy a little more detailed and encourage you to give me feedback, advice, encouragement or to bash me.
