SPAM from Panda Soft
About 2 months ago I was in the market for a new anti-virus software. My Norton Anti-Virus was about to expire and I decided to try out the competition before renewing. I tried Panda Soft, Trend Micro, AVG, and Avast! and compared them to Norton AV. I finally settled on Trend Micro’s PC-cillin Internet Security Suite. I like how the software works and the options it has to offer. It also seems to have much lower memory/cpu usage compared to Norton. The best thing - before I bought it, I received a coupon to buy the software package for just $29.99 with updates for a full year.
Anyway - Since signing up for a trial of Panda Soft’s anti virus software I am receiving newsletters from them like at least 4 times a week. I used the normal unsubscribe option from their emails - assuming that they are a reputable company and that unsubscribing would work. Well, it did not work and so I tried it again. A total of 5 unsubscribe attempts have not brought in any results yet. I am still getting their stupid advertisement messages.
Their latest advertisement is kind of ironic. “How many junk email messages do you receive every day?” - this is the headline of their email to me today. Well, it would be less than what I am receiving if Panda Soft would stop SPAMMING me. Or do they just want to force me to buy their products before they stop sending me their SPAM and then promote it “See how good it works? It stopped that SPAM ….
