The Power of a Single Blog Post

Chris Hooley wrote about an Arizona Pool Builder who apparently builds fantastic outdoor pools down in Arizona. The company is trying to rank for the keyword “Fiberglass Pool Builder” and Chris helped ‘em out with a link using the right anchor text. Here’s the power of that single blog post Chris did. The pool builder website moved up in rankings from #12 to #9 already as well it holds #3 AND #4 now for the second keyword. Chris’s blog post is actually #5 now in the same search. This example shows how one single blog post can influence the SERPS for specific keywords. Kudos to Chris Hooley for this nice experiment.

Of course there is a small portion of link bait in his posting, but that is part of the deal. Keyword research and proper usage of them becomes a really important tool in low competition markets.
