Ignorance or what is it?

A few months back I sold a website of mine for $900 USD. The buyer had some time problems moving the site and granted her extra hosting time on my server. After a few weeks the site was still not moved and so I contacted her again. She apologized about not moving the site and promised action in the next few days. Another 10 days later the site was still not moved and I contacted her again. She now talked about an ongoing re-design of the website and it would be moved shortly. Again a week later nothing had happened. I did set a deadline for 5 days later, but nothing happened. I gave another 3-4 days grace period and another warning to delete the website. Nothing happened. A week ago I finally disabled the website in WHM and it shows now the suspended warning page of WHM.

What is the problem? I don’t know. The buyer is throwing a lot of value overboard. This will definitely hurt the search engine rankings for the website. I will wait another week, then do a backup of the site and then delete it. I don’t know what else to do. I have been so patient and over-communicated in this case, but if the buyer is so stupid not to react … I am not willing to play charity and offer free web hosting. I mean – how many weeks or better – months do you need to move a website that is not so complicated to move? How many warnings do you need? I got responses from the buyer – she is aware of the situation, but why is she so ignorant? If I would spend $900 for a website I would be darn sure to get value for my money. What would you do?
