Efficient PPC Review

If you are promoting your business through Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising, you might have heard of products like SpeedPPC and Efficient PPC. The 2 software packages provide an easier way to automate some of the chores of PPC advertising. You can easily build huge lists of long-tail keywords and then use dynamic insertion of the same into the PPC ad and the link to your landing page. The basics for both software are the same, but there are some significant differences underneath the hood you should be aware about.

Efficient PPC is cheaper, but requires a monthly subscription that easily adds up. SpeedPPC is more expensive to buy, but does not come with any recurring fees other than a small annual support fee (normal in the commercial software area). SpeedPPC also offers more features and is a very mature product. Development of a new version has been lagging a little bit, but a new version is slated to be released by the end or March – effectively raising the bar. Efficient PPC has the advantage to pick some areas where SpeedPPC is not as good as it could be (looking at the old version – not the soon to be released one). However, Efficient PPC has failed to close the gaps by leaving other items out that I would consider critical when comparing the 2 tools and deciding on which one is the best option.

I am looking forward to follow both products and see how they do 6-12 months down the road. Competition is good as it might help to drive improvements of the software. Efficient PPC is the newcomer, while SpeedPPC is very mature and established. The price difference in the beginning is significant. I am sure we will see some changes on both sides once the competition heats up.
